Shares to limited user to only show the shared files/folders name instead of showing shareowner

We are sharing data to quite a bit of limited users, and soon more shares will come from additional internal users to external limited users. What we've found is that when an internal user shares a file/folder to a limited user, the root folder structure is broken down by who shared the item. When our limited users are looking for a file/folder they have to first know who shared it with them so that they know which root folder to look into. Is there a possible way to only show the shared files/folders for limited users instead of having it broken down by shareowner? If we can resolve this issue that would be a great benefit for us and our limited account users and alleviate significant user confusion that we've experienced.
