"Open in Office Online" context menu

Needs Review

Might be nice have a function to open a file directly in Office Online thru the context menu of Sync/Drive, Also with autologin enabled. Same goes for the regular context menu items; if the client software is logged in an authenticated, could autologin when using the menu "view in site" be made possible?

Thanks for the feedback. Is this to allow users to edit office documents if they don't have it installed locally?

Thanks. My thought was to allow for collaboration editing without going thru the webinterface

Any update on the consideration for this functionality?

We haven't been able to prioritize this yet.

Hm, ok. I think you should also consider improvement the "View in site"-context menu functionality, so that login isn't nessesary or atleast make it so when wanting to view a file or folder in the site, it actually goes to the folder/file in question AFTER login in. Right now this functionality only works if you already are logged into the site in your browser, which is just not very streamlined.

I also think it would be nice with the possibility to get a direct link to opening a file in office online, granted that you are logged into the site and have access to the file, ofcourse.

We will check why the view in site doesn't open the file or folder path after login.
