visual identification for folders with disabled notifications

Fabian shared this idea 7 years ago
Needs Review

When selecting a folder, there is a so called „share option“ menue. It only has one option – toggle notifications for this (sub)folder on or off.

I wish there would be some kind of visual feedback, to see wich folder has deactivated notifications. Because if there are a lot of folders, and only some of them are deactivated, it´s very hard to find these particular folders.

Maybe there can be added a small icon (like the little share icon) to indicate it. A little stroked mail icon or something like that.

What happened? After upgrading to v15 i can not find this very important option anymore?!?

How do i disable notifications for specific folders now?

We dont have visual feedback to indicate what folders have notifications enabled. However, you can enable notification on a individual folder that is shared if needed.

Sadly this isnt enough, because i have network folders that are not shared by every user, but every user has access to it. So it´s impossible (now) to disable specific notifications - remember, this was all fine in v14!

Killing features in new releases without mention it in the release notes isnt good at all...

Hi Fabian,

We have noticed this regression in V 15 to disable notifications for Specific Network Folders. We will re-add this support in our next version.

Meanwhile, if you are ok, to disable notifications for a specific Network Folder, you can disable that as shown below. We understand it does not give the same granular control as the other setting.

Thanks for (finally...) re-adding this feature for network folders.

But there is still the lack of a visual feedback :(

So we now have a new icon when a folder or file does have comments, this would be a nice spot for adding the icon with personal deactivated notifications (share options).

I know we have the blue icons, but one has to check and click every single folder to check if he has deactivated notifications.

I have done a ridiculous bad mockup on how this could look like:

Thanks Fabian for the mockup. It looks actually pretty good. We will consider it.
