FileCloud 23.262 is now available

FileCloud version 23.262 is now available. This release introduces major updates across watermarking, eSignature integration, security configuration, audit log search, and 2FA usability, along with several Admin Portal and User Portal refinements.

Key highlights in 23.262

Watermarks can now be applied to downloaded files

FileCloud watermarking has been extended beyond previews. Admins can now apply watermark rules to both previewed and downloaded files. The Add Watermark Rule wizard includes a new Watermark mode setting, allowing admins to choose between:

• Previews only
• Previews and Downloads

A new Option for unsupported file types setting has also been added, giving admins control over whether unsupported file types that match a watermark rule can still be previewed or downloaded.

SignIt eSignature integration

FileCloud now supports document signing through the SignIt eSignature platform. Admins can select SignIt as an eSignature provider from the Admin Portal eSignature settings and configure the required integration details directly in FileCloud. Users can prepare and send documents for signature through a SignIt interface embedded within FileCloud, without needing to separately log in to SignIt. The interface allows users to add signing fields for each recipient and send documents for eSignature.

Daily DLP statistics and clearer dashboard labels

The Admin Dashboard DLP statistics widget has been renamed from Realtime DLP Statistics to Daily DLP Statistics to better reflect that it shows activity from the last 24 hours. The widget labels have also been updated to more clearly describe the information represented by each statistic.

Improved admin control for client session timeout

In policies, the User Policy setting Enforce session timeout for devices using code-based device authentication has been renamed to Enforce session timeout for client devices. The setting name now better reflects its actual behavior, and enabling it no longer requires Enable code-based device authentication to be set to Yes.

Regex support for audit log search

The Audit Logs page now includes a Use regex checkbox, allowing admins to search audit logs using regular expressions. When regex search is enabled, admins are prompted to enter a date range as part of the search parameters.

Dynamic CSP rules can now be managed from the Admin Portal

A new CSP Rules page has been added under Settings > Misc. Admins can now disable dynamic CSP or configure custom CSP rules directly through the Admin Portal instead of editing FileCloud configuration files. Dynamic CSP remains enabled by default, and admins can add custom rules by specifying directives and sources from the new interface.

Clearer private folder share upload quota label

In the User Portal, the Share link for folder dialog for private folder shares has been updated. The label Upload Size Limit (MB) has been renamed to Total Upload Quota (MB) to clarify that the value represents the total upload allowance for the share, not the maximum size of each individual uploaded file.

Improved 2FA resend code experience

The 2FA login screen in the User Portal now provides a clearer resend flow. The Resend text button has been renamed to Resend code and now includes a 60-second countdown timer. After a code is sent, the resend option is temporarily disabled until the timer completes, helping prevent confusion and repeated code requests.
