FileCloud 23.263 is now available
FileCloud version 23.263 is now available. This release introduces major updates across multi-factor authentication, SSO group sync, transactional email customization, share history, and storage, along with FIPS hygiene improvements on Linux.
Key highlights in 23.263
More flexible MFA with User Choice
When an admin sets the MFA mode to User Choice, a new Show all selected options at every login checkbox is now available. With it enabled, users see every MFA method their admin has enabled each time they log in, and the method they used last is labeled Last used. If a user picks a method they haven't set up yet, they're prompted to configure it and are logged in once setup is complete. If an attempt fails, they can retry or switch to another method without restarting the login. With the checkbox off, User Choice works as it did before.
SSO group membership sync on login
Admins can now configure SSO login with Google, Okta, and Entra ID identity providers to sync a user's group memberships each time they log in. The dialog for choosing groups to import from SSO providers also has a new search bar, making it easier to find a specific group.
Option to hide the unsubscribe link in transactional emails
Admins can now hide the unsubscribe link in transactional email templates, such as share approval and activity notifications, so users don't accidentally unsubscribe from important notifications. The option is a new checkbox under Customization > General.
Exact date and time in Share History
Share History in the share screen now shows the exact date and time of each action instead of a relative time such as "3 days ago".
Storage refactoring
FileCloud has improved the way folders are stored to prevent data redundancy and orphaned files. Storage is restructured during the upgrade process, so please review the Upgrade Notes before upgrading.
FIPS hygiene on Linux
As a security enhancement, FileCloud is removing certain deprecated cryptographic algorithms from its codebase. On-Prem customers with a license issued before April 2024 should request a reissued license. Online customers don't need to take any action, since their license is updated automatically. Encryption can also now be enabled on FileCloud installed on a FIPS-enabled Ubuntu machine.
Updated PHP and MongoDB components
PHP has been updated from 8.4.21 to 8.4.24 and MongoDB from 8.0.28 to 8.0.29 to address security issues.
